What's in Grok Automation

Everything you need to run Grok Automation on autopilot.

Twelve purpose-built features that turn Grok into a batch-processing engine. Auto Grok prompts, auto-download images and videos, organize into project folders — at scale.

How Grok Automation works

Three steps from idea to a finished Grok batch.

Open grok.com, paste your prompts, walk away. Grok Automation handles submission, retries, downloads, and folder organization — so you spend your time creating, not clicking.

  1. 1 Step one

    Paste your Grok prompts

Drop a list of prompts — one per line, dozens or hundreds at a time. Pick any of the 5 generation modes, choose your aspect ratio, and you're set.

    prompts.txt 78 lines
    cinematic neon alley, rain, 16:9
portrait of a vintage robot, 1:1
    cyberpunk cityscape sunset, 9:16
    + 75 more…
  2. 2 Step two

Hit start — Grok Automation takes over

Smart delays pace 1–6 concurrent runs around Grok's rate limits. If you do get throttled, Grok Automation pauses the queue, persists progress, and resumes the moment quota returns.

    Live queue Running
    53 / 78 Smart pause · resuming 12s
  3. 3 Step three

Find your batch in project folders

Every result is auto-upscaled and dropped into project folders — sorted by aspect ratio and media type, with filenames matched to your Character references. Ready to ship.

    ~/Grok/neon-alley 78 files
    • images/16-9/
    • 001_neon-alley.png
    • images/9-16/

Three paths to automate Grok

Manual grok.com vs Zapier vs Grok Automation.

Three ways to automate Grok, and where each one fits. Zapier-style automations connect Grok's API to your work tools; Grok Tasks runs scheduled jobs inside grok.com; Grok Automation batches the grok.com UI itself for image and video creators.

Built for creators who ship daily

Who's running Grok Automation batches today?

Four kinds of creators get the most out of Grok Automation. If your work shows up on a feed, in a launcher, or on a campaign brief — you're probably one of them.

YouTube creators

Pick the best thumbnail from 30, not the first one.

Generate 30 thumbnail variations in one Grok Automation batch, all in 16:9. Compare side-by-side instead of regenerating one at a time until you settle for "good enough."

30 prompts 16:9 ~5 min

Short-form video makers

Cut TikTok production overhead in half.

Batch-produce hook variants and b-roll in 9:16 with Grok Automation, stitch longer narratives with Concat mode, then post across TikTok, Reels, and Shorts from the same source batch.

9:16 + 1:1 Concat mode 50+ clips/run

Indie game & app builders

Build a 200-asset concept library overnight.

Characters, environments, item icons, store screenshots — Grok Automation generates the entire asset pack across all 5 ratios in one queue, sorted into folders ready for your engine to import. Character auto-match keeps each hero consistent across the set.

200+ assets 5 ratios Project folders

Marketing & ad creative

40 ad variations before lunch.

Hook variants × visual variants × placement ratios — Grok Automation generates the full A/B test matrix in one batch. Meta, Google, LinkedIn, every format covered before the brief is approved.

40 variants All ratios A/B ready

Different workflow? If you're routinely running more than 10 Grok prompts per session, Grok Automation already pays for itself in the first batch.

Grok Automation FAQ

The questions people ask before installing Grok Automation — and a few they wish they'd asked before they tried the alternatives.

We reply within one business day.

How is Grok Automation different from Grok Tasks?

Grok Tasks is xAI's built-in feature for scheduling a Grok chat task on a trigger or timer — perfect for 'summarize my email every morning' workflows. Grok Automation does something different: it batches image and video generation on the grok.com UI itself, queuing hundreds of prompts in parallel. Tasks are scheduled chat jobs; Grok Automation is parallelized creation. Most creators use both.

What happens when Grok rate-limits me mid-batch?

Most automation tools just crash and lose everything. Grok Automation detects the rate-limit signal, pauses the queue, persists your progress to local storage, and resumes the moment your quota returns. Close the tab — your queue is waiting when you come back.

Is Grok Automation affiliated with xAI?

No. Grok Automation is an independent browser extension — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by xAI Corp. Grok™ is a trademark of xAI Corp. We're built for Grok users, by people who use Grok daily.

What data does the extension see?

Only what you'd see in the Grok tab yourself — the prompts you queue and the responses you generate. Nothing leaves your browser. Grok Automation keeps your prompt history, generated outputs, and folder layout on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Does Grok Automation work with Grok 4, Grok Heavy, and Grok Imagine?

Yes. Grok Automation drives whatever model and feature is available in your grok.com session — Grok 4 for prompting, Grok Heavy when your account has it, and Grok Imagine for image and video generation. The extension reads from your existing session, so your account tier determines throughput. The Smart Delay System adapts automatically: Super Grok and Heavy accounts naturally run more in parallel.

Which browsers are supported?

Chrome today. Edge support is on the roadmap. Since the extension uses standard Chromium APIs, it generally also works on Brave, Arc, and Vivaldi — though we don't formally support those yet.

How does pricing work?

Subscription-based. A free tier lets you try the core automation; paid plans unlock larger batches and advanced controls. You can cancel anytime — no refund games, no surprise renewals. Full pricing details land on the Pricing section once tiers are finalized.

Can I run multiple Grok accounts?

Yes. Use one account per browser profile — switch profiles to switch accounts. Each profile keeps its own queue history and project folders, so a personal account and a client account never mix.

The extension won't open. What do I do?

Almost always a Chromium version issue — make sure your browser is updated. If you're still stuck, email support and we'll respond within one business day. (We mention this because the alternative is silence — and that's not the standard we hold ourselves to.)
